DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION STATISTICS IN UKRAINE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION
Full text (pdf)
Language: Ukrainian
Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the development of education statistics in Ukraine in the context of European integration processes. Current achievements and prospects for the harmonisation of education statistics with European standards in accordance with the Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine until 2027 are considered. The role of key institutions such as the State Statistical Service of Ukraine, the SSI “Institute of Educational Analytics” and the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance in collecting, processing and analysing educational data is highlighted. It is shown that educational statistics are becoming an essential tool for improving the management of educational processes, promoting integration into the European Education Area (EEA) and contributing to the development of educational strategies. An important aspect is the integration of Ukraine into the EEA through the improvement of the infrastructure for data exchange with European countries, which will broaden the access of domestic specialists to international expertise and best practices in the field of educational analytics. Special attention is paid to the improvement of the AICOM and the introduction of advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, to enable more efficient management of educational processes. Key directions include the creation of public platforms to ensure access to education statistics, promote transparency and strengthen public control. The article also highlights the importance of Ukraine’s international cooperation with the EU, Eurostat, UNESCO and other organisations to participate in international studies such as PISA, TIMSS and TALIS. Such cooperation will facilitate the integration of the Ukrainian education system into the global education space. As a result, the adaptation of education statistics to European standards will improve the quality of education in Ukraine and become an important step on the country’s path towards European integration.
